Stressed = Nightmares?
First of all, am I even stressed? What did I do to deserve all these nightmares? Recap of my recent sleepless nights in a nutshell:
- 大批軍隊入城, 見人就殺, 帶頭巾嘅印度人冇事----> 結果我同文生周圍搵頭巾包頭
- 俾 Stephen King 小說 It 裡面嘅小丑追住我嚟嚇----> 結果我就俾佢追到醒為止
- 前晚個夢都幾攪笑, well not really: 俾幾個飛來飛去嘅血滴子追----> 結果我又俾佢追到醒
- 最小兒科都算係今朝個夢: 我好鍾意嘅手袋無啦啦爛咗, 爆晒線, 爛得好不堪----> 結果我好唔開心所以醒咗

My Bug - My Baby!
My 2-month-short-of-10-year-old Y2K bug has been pretty good to me since I've had it (my first baby!!) and since 8 weeks ago, I've been taking my poor baby to the mechanic almost every week.
Patient History
Aug 9 - "shaking" at 120km/hr, engine light came on, diagnosed as cylinder misfire possibly caused by exposed wires - insulated wires
Aug 16 - "shaking" again at 120km/hr, engine light on again, diagnosed as same cylinder misfire - insulated wires some more
Aug 22-27 - went to Rome so didn't drive
Aug 29 - same problem - changed wires altogether
Sep 9 - car "threatens" to stall on idle/low gear, shaking, engine noise, engine light came on, problem will happen daily in the morning, then go away after a few blocks of driving, diagnosed as a different cylinder that misfired - replaced Mass Airflow Sensor
Sep 12 - noticed all three AC power outlets are malfunctioned, door chime doesn't work - car thinks doors are closed when they are open
Sep 17 - car actually stalled a few times on idle/low gear, more shaking, more noise, more blinking engine lights, diagnosed yet another cylinder misfire - replaced spark plug wire
Sep 25 - shaking still, more lights (even I'm getting bored of this), more noise, problem goes away after a few blocks of driving again, but this time get this - the engine light actually turned off and stayed off!
So, after 2 agonizing hours of research on the great net, I found that I'm not the only one with the problems and I may invest in an inexpensive VAG COM cable to connect to my car so I can diagnose the engine codes on my own, keep track of what's wrong and compare it to what my mechanic tells me. Then...

In Search of 片皮豬
話說 2000 年的某個 2 月晚上, 有位姓陳的醫生請食飯. 是一餐新春晚宴+新樓賣好慰勞宴. 入行以來老闆真心的請食飯真是寥寥可數, 所以我印象是蠻深刻的. 那年還是黃毛丫頭一個的我, 在那飯局裡面嘗試過人生很多個「第一次」. 第一次因公赴宴、第一次愛上澳洲紅酒、第一次食筷子般粗的魚翅、也是第一次用筷子來食翅、第一次食片皮乳豬、不等...
我還記得那味片皮豬真的好好食! 燒豬皮薄、乾脆、沒有多餘脂肪, 配合煙韌粉皮和青瓜、青蔥、甜醬, 味道和口感都一流! 賣相都不錯呢! 每一塊燒豬皮無論大細、厚薄都一至, 看出廚師下過不少心機和功夫.
幾個月前心血來潮想再到位於 King Street 和 University Avenue 的「帝苑」再次一嘗 9 年前的唯一一次片皮乳豬 experience, 但真可惜「帝苑」不知在多久前已經結業啦! 正當我以為再不能食到片皮豬的時候, 我竟然碰巧在文生同事的婚禮跟這味片皮豬從逢! 真是說不出的喜悅從內心湧著出來! 須然「百福魚翅酒家」的沒有「帝苑」的好食, 但可以再次品嘗 9 年來沒食過的菜式, 我已經很滿足喇!

Goh's Wedding
Ken 哥 got married this last Sunday and for the first time ever, I was part of the 姊妹團. Funny thing is I'm supposed to be on the 男家 side, LOL! Running on only a couple of hours of sleep, I managed to get through the day in one piece although my feet were KILLING me for the next two days!! All of 哥's prep work paid off as the entire day went by very smoothly. This is what you get from a project manager! Lots of fun were had by lots o' people as the bride and groom were very entertaining!! お兄ちゃん、おめでとう!!
