WHAT?!? No Pics of the Oysters?!?

As my life slowly but surely gets back to normal after the last few hectic weeks, I finally decided to post my photos for the 9th Annual Oyster Sushi Party that happened on January 1st (but felt like decades ago). Hey, not even a month late, so heh heh heh, I'm not that bad =D. Little did I know, I didn't take any photos of the star of the show: THE OYSTERS!!! Arrrrgggghhhh! How can that be?!?

What happened to the 主角?

Likely the last party hosted at my condo here, I must say we had lots-o-fun! 可可 and her 老公大人 brought over their Wii so we Mario'd all night. Not to mention a bit of Bang! here and there and I gotta lol at the lineup for the massage chair! Sushi was fresh, oysters were slurpy, lasagna was yummy and best of all, no scorched unagi this year!

Thanks to all that showed up and so sorry for all that missed it!!

To Zap or Not to Zap?

I joined Karen for a lasik consultation at TLC today and after almost 2 hours and what seemed like a kazillion eye tests, I found out I am a lasik candidate. Now the big question is: To Zap or Not to Zap??

Sunday Afteroon Hea-ing

It's Sunday afternoon and I'm still in the 有家歸不得 situation so here I am at Serissa leeching an internet connection and ultimately hea-ing. Would have liked to trek into Sauga and attempt project cleanup with 細V but apparently I have to stay put near home. I hope to have a bit of good news later today!

Listing Goes Live!!

Stayed up the entire night last night getting the finishing touches done for my condo to go to market today. Whew! Everything is ready to go but the more I think of selling it, the more I miss my place already!

It's really surprising what a little bit of staging can do to a suite. Again, I owe Karen big time for staying up all night helping me and of course, couldn't stay sane without 文生!! Poor thing only got 2 hours of sleep.

Everything would have been perfect if Karen and I didn't BOTH get parking tickets. Poopie!!

Now what would really make things less poopie for me is if I can sell my place within a week and have lots of people go into a bidding war!!!!! Muaaahahahahaha! That would really do it! Wish me luck!

Almost There ... So Nervous!

With 5 days of pure painting, lack of food and sleepless nights and then another week of more cleaning, I must say my condo is looking quite nice now. I was finally able to make everything look like it did just before the party started on New Year's Day. LOL! I was lucky enough to pick up a love seat today (after days and days of furniture shopping) and it'll be delivered tomorrow! Yes! I was really hoping I wouldn't have to order that expensive love seat from Ikea. Kakaka~~ Everything that happened since Christmas Eve just seems like a blur now: packing, de-cluttering, more packing, countless trips to my Grandparents' place to store my crap, cleaning, the party, painting, not sleeping, more packing and more cleaning...yikes!!!

Just so happened that my neighbour on the 9th floor listed his condo for sale last Thursday, at a price higher than what I would have listed for if I put it on the market last week, and it sold today! Just 5 days!! I'm so nervous just thinking about listing my place and thank God Karen is more than great help! I seriously would not know what the hell to do without her. So fingers crossed that all goes well with the final touches tomorrow night and then my condo goes to market on Thursday!! I sure hope I can get an offer over the weekend like my neighbour...

By the time I gather myself together, I should be able to get back to scrapping my final few days of my Hong Kong trip 2008 (yes, I know) and posting pics of the oyster party.

Project Potato Head ... subject is MIA!

Notice my little potato head project has gone missing since the new year. Mr. Potato Head has decided he is fed up with all the paint fumes in my condo (and he needed a little vacation time for himself anyway) so he hid himself in a box and shipped himself somewhere out of my sight. Hummph...go figure. I guess he'll come back soon enough.

Awaiting the Guests to Arrive...

Happy 2010!! For once, I'm not fussing over last minute oyster party preparations and actually just waiting around for my guests to arrive!! I must say I'm very impressed with myself for a few things: packing up and cleaning the entire suite and deciding on a very simple menu for this year's party. Yay, me!!

For New Year's Eve, 文生 and I had a very yummy dinner of uni-don and then after some party prepping, we went down to Meishan's house for the countdown. Lots of fun were had as we sat around playing MJ and sipped some bubbly Moet, downed some wine and slurped up some Bailey cones.
