Ten Months Late

Summing up the last few days of 2009, I figure I'm going to be pretty screwed up trying to organize my life including cleaning and painting the condo, preparing for the 9th annual Oyster/Sushi party, attending a few get-togethers and amongst other things, still find time to finish scrapping my Hong Kong trip from last year. I finished a few pages as early as ten months ago and decided not to post them until I have the entire trip scrapped, but it seems like I've come across minor difficulties. I am still 5 full pages away from finishing and have 2 others to wrap up the journalling for. Then I chase 細V for the 序 and I will have a full book to print. Wait, I forgot about the covers...doh!

So, I suppose I will start posting them gradually starting now. Since I'm anal about being chronologically accurate, start looking here.

As busy as I am trying to clean up my apartment (and failing miserably), I'm still on top of my Potato Head Project. Except he seems to be lost in here somewhere....

TVB 全新正字節目『正識第一』已經播放了一個星期. 每次有機會學多啲中文我都唔會放過. 所以今次都唔例外, 晚晚都坐定定追. 由於昨晚冇時間睇, 所以今日補翻. 最新一集學識了:

最令我唔開心的就係到今時今日才知道俾我中文老師老點了15年. 『木蘭辭』裏有幾句:

旦辭爺孃去, 暮宿黃河邊, 不聞爺孃喚女聲, 但聞黃河流水聲濺濺

老師教我讀cin2(淺), 但係今日先知道原來係讀zin1(煎)!! 等我仲理直氣壯咁背錯了十幾年!! 可惡!!

近日的心情可以用一個字來形容: 煩!

Since a picture is worth a thousand words, here's my four thousand word essay:

This is my kitchen-to-be. I have a queen size mattress on the ceiling. How lovely.

This is my tiny master bedroom. Bulkheads have eaten into the ceiling to leave me with what feels like a cave. Note the off-center light.
Apparently this is the only place where I can put my TV. To be wall-mounted just to keep the thermostat warm. Nice.
Somehow the electrician decided my suite will be a showroom. Equipped me with a 7-switch panel to turn off all the lights in one shot. On my ONE AND ONLY wall. How convenient.

In case the sarcasm wasn't noticeable, I'm pissed.
